I also decided that for $30 to get bio feedback therapy thrown in would be a great finisher. The place is so old and so fabulous and the day rate is $20. The massage was great, the reflexology was great, the scrub was done in the hammam area by a fully naked girl, except for her slip on shoes!
When I asked how much and he said “35$ for an hour” I said”BOOK ME” and add a reflexology for same price and a scrub for $10(whatttttt?) did I just make it to Heaven? When I asked for a day pass the guy at the desk was so busy answering calls and booking appointments with this huge, prehistoric looking “pencil it in” appointment book, he just handed me a sheet, a towel and asked if I had massage scheduled.
When I walked in I was highly underwhelmed by the “Old tired rundown” look of the lobby. I took a chance not having had any prior appointment booked or knowing if it was male day or female day. I went there yesterday after reading all the rave reviews and OMG, like no place else. I can honestly say, I would very much think twice before bringing my 8 year old give what I saw. I sincerely hope that other’s experiences are different than mine, since the website says that children as young as 8 would be allowed to enter with parental supervision. Based on the other reviews I would imagine this is not the norm, but, being that it was my first time the whole experience left me grossed out and fairly not inclined to return. It was clear he and another patron were doing this for some enjoyment as they communicated quietly but directly well he completed the act. I am not prudish, and I have no problem with nudity, but openly pleasuring oneself, was and always is something that I would rather not see in a open setting like this. Unfortunately, on the day I visited, which happened to be my first, there were some bad actors that decided to act on certain types of sexual activity in the dry sauna room. Once completed I think the experience will be amazing. It is clear that renovations are needed and the owners are working towards this. I very much appreciated the old world style of the bathhouse.
I am torn because I think the concept is wonderful.
